Jim Gibbs
I am 35 years old and this will be my fourteenth year of teaching science, all of which have been at CCHS. I graduated from Harpeth High School in 1989 and earned my Bachelor of Science degree from Middle Tennessee State University in 1993. I have been married to my wife, Pam, for just over four years. We are the proud parents of Sara Kaitlyn Gibbs (she goes by Kaitlyn), whom we adopted from Guatemala in February 2006. She keeps us very busy chasing her around the house, while at the same time baby-proofing it. We also have a dog, Knox, the only dog I know of who is afraid of the dark. I am the volleyball coach here at CCHS, and this will be my eighth season as the Lady Cubs coach. In the past, I have also coached boys' basketball (for six years) and girls' softball (for seven years). In my spare time, I love to watch football, especially the Alabama Crimson Tide. I also love to watch professional baseball (I have seen all but two teams play). I also love to cook, play with my daughter, and to go on long walks with my wife.
