Teresa Burkhart
Hello Cub fans! My name is Teresa Burkhart, the new 9th & 11th grade school counselor for the year 2006-2007. I will stay with your/my students through the year they graduate, as we are on a rotating basis. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in 2004 from Austin Peay State University, with a major in Psychology and minor in Spanish. I had the opportunity to go to Mexico on a study abroad program in December of 2003, to complete my minor requirements. I lived in Cuernavaca with a wonderful family in a 4 bdrm 4 bath condo. It was a wonderful experience. I continued my education at Austin Peay in the School Counseling Program and will receive my Master of Science degree in May, 2007. I am currently working under an alternative license and have already passed my state test to receive my permanent license when I complete my degree program. I live in Joelton with my husband, Tony, of 17 years, and our 2 sons, Dillon & Jacob. Dillon is a 9th grader here at CCCHS and Jacob will join us here next y ear. I also have an older son, William, who lives in IN. He is married to Laurie and they are the proud parents of my beautiful granddaughter, Olyvia. I enjoy football, baseball, swimming, fishing, and recently received my Hunter Safety Education. I am also a long time member of Gateway Assembly of God. It is an honor and a privilege to be serving the students, parents, and community of Cheatham County and I look forward many years at CCCHS.
